Who I am
I am a macroeconomist with relevant work experience in analyzing major SSA countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Angola, Kenya and Ghana. I currently work as the Chief Economist at Vetiva Capital Management Limited. Prior to this, I worked as an Economist with CSL Stockbrokers Limited, a subsidiary of the FCMB Group. My areas of expertise cut across financial, public sector and international economics.
Why I do this
I love discussing and writing about economics, connecting it with everyday life. I’m passionate about development in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs), particularly the African Renaissance. I also love sharing the knowledge and insights I gather from my research endeavours.

•Develop and maintain econometric models using E-views, Stata, SPSS and R.
•Producing research reports and model forecasts on a regular basis.
•Analyze and interpret large amounts of data related to markets, economic and political events.
•Monitor global economic events and offer analyses of their implications for financial markets.
•Evaluate special situations such as elections, trade disputes, etc.
•Present data and conclusions in a clean and efficient manner to senior stakeholders.
•Collaborate with the broader economics, trading and strategy teams.
•Present our market views to a wide range of internal and external clients and provide real-time opinions on breaking news.
